Dang Qun is a Principal Partner of MAD, responsible for managing over 150 architects and overseeing the firm’s architectural projects around the world. As a Principal Partner, she directs MAD’s strategic operations, cultural development, and design execution across a wide range of project types and scales.

Qun’s leadership spans all phases of the creative and delivery process, from team formation and concept development to construction and completion. With deep expertise in both design and project management, she ensures each work reflects MAD’s values: clarity of vision, technical precision, and meaningful connection to place. She also leads communication with clients and collaborators, fostering alignment and shared purpose across disciplines.

Her strong interests in history, archaeology, and philosophy have given her a broader and deeper perspective on architecture, along with a cross-cultural lens. These interests inform MAD’s research and theoretical direction, grounding the studio’s work in a cultural understanding that extends to architectural practice and beyond.
